How do we the people protest or fight the runaway government spending?

I was going to answer, but then I heard you say "legally." I would petition the offices and start going to town meetings for local events. I and I think a majority of Americans are sick of the feds taking their hard-earned money. We need to get organized and take care of this. Maybe start an organization.
