What is fastners,adhesive bonding,friction welding in metal joining

Metals can joined with rows of rivets, they can be welded, brazed with a torch and welding rods, or electrically welded. Strong epoxy bonds are used to glue aircraft wings to fusalages. I never heard of friction welding.
