When do babies start to smile real smiles?

I think it's a different time for every baby. My 1st didn't start smiling real smiles until she was 3 1/2 months old, but my younger baby was only 2 months old, and it took a lot of effort to get her to smile (she was a very serious baby). But I gotta say, it is the most precious thing.
